The project, located along the South Bank of the Thames in Southwark borough, has transformed a large, under-utilized site between Blackfriars Bridge and the Tate Modern into a vibrant destination. It replaces two divisive blocks with a residential-led development comprising nearly 500 homes, offices, cultural and retail spaces, and leisure amenities. Elevated gardens and landscaped public areas will enhance the experience for residents and visitors, improving connectivity to the Thames and reinstating historic walkways.
Bankside Yards, which will be made of a total of 8 buildings sitting over 14 grand arches, is set to be the first fossil fuel-free mixed-use development in the UK.
