Over 60 years of façade excellence and innovation
1950s
The original company starts its operations in the Netherlands developing a strong local reputation due to his artisanal work in the shipbuilding sector and in the field of residential construction and cladding.
1958
The company enters the Dutch window and curtain wall market under the name Scheldebouw.

1970 - 80s
With a focus on the European market, the company consolidates its position as a manufacturer of bespoke and standard curtain walls and façade claddings.
1990s
A decade of international expansion across the UK market.
1995
Scheldebouw becomes a member of the Permasteelisa Group, the worldwide leading contractor in the design, engineering, project management, manufacture, installation and after-sales service of architectural envelopes and interiors.
2007
Permasteelisa Central Europe, joins Scheldebouw Middelburg to form the current Scheldebouw B.V.
Today
Today around 500 employees work in our offices for projects in the BeNeLux, United Kingdom, Scandinavia and Central/East Europe as well as other projects in the world in cooperation with other affiliated companies of the Permasteelisa Group.
